The institute began, and continues to be a school where children of Spanish speaking people who are interested in maintaining and cultivating their cultural and linguistic roots, can in conjunction with the regular Quebec educational pre-university system receive an additional education in Spanish mother tongue.

The programs of Language, Literature and Social Sciences (History and Geography) classes are developed for different levels and based on the specific needs of each group of students throughout the different grades.
The different levels being referred to are:

• Pre-school
• Elementary School
• High School
• College (C.O.U)
